Menendez
Thank You Senator Menendez

Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) today announced he will oppose the Iran nuclear deal, becoming the second Democrat to announce his rejection of the agreement after Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) previously did so.

Menendez provided a straight-talking, no-nonsense analysis of the Iran deal, effectively demolishing it.

He explained how the American and European negotiators caved in to the Iranians on every point, with the deal thus failing to live up to the original positions put forward by Obama. At the end of his speech Menendez forcefully declared that he will vote against the deal and would vote to override Obama's expected veto. He received a standing ovation from the crowd at New Jersey's Seton Hall University.

Obummer
The Obama administration announces
it will come to the aid of the Palestinian Authority
against the interests of American victims of terror
who successfully sued the PA for damages.

A jury in New York City earlier this year awarded $218.5 million to American victims of Palestinian terror in a lawsuit against the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Palestinian Authority (PA). That amount is automatically tripled under the Anti-Terrorism Act to as much as $1.1 billion, legal experts say

The Obama administration intervened on behalf of the terrorists, advising a judge that requiring a hefty bond payment in the case could financially destabilize the PA.

The US government explained that it was trying to strike a balance between its support for the right of terror victims to be compensated in court and concerns that a large bond imposed while the verdict is on appeal would weaken the legitimacy of the PA and undermine "several decades of US foreign policy."

Bottom Line
The Obama administration is:
- Playing politics with our legal system
- Ignoring the separation of powers inherent in our Constitution
- Ignoring the rule of law

We shouldn't be surprised; we knew it all along.
