President Trump: Doing It Right

President Trump during his first week in the Oval Office

In only his first week as President, Donald Trump is already taking a different approach than Obama did toward Israel and the “Palestinians”.
First, upon Israel’s announcement that it was going to build a few thousand homes in Judea and Samaria, the Trump administration’s reaction was…to say nothing. No accusation of illegal (or “illegitimate”) activity, or of harming a non-existent “peace process” or imaginary “two state solution”.
Predictably, the Arabs whined about the administration’s (non)reaction:
Responding on Wednesday to the White House refusing to comments, Erekat told AFP, “We used to hear condemnations, we used to hear American positions saying ‘(Israel) should stop settlement activities, it’s an obstacle to peace.'”

“Not commenting, does that mean that President Trump is encouraging… settlement activities? We need an answer from the American administration,” he added.

Erekat said he was “shocked” that the White House did not comment on the construction announcements as the Obama administration repeatedly did.

We have news for Erekat and his cronies: it’s a new day, a new administration, and thankfully, a new approach to the Middle East.
Next, in reaction to one of Obama’s last official (and dastardly) acts – to give $221 million to the PA – President Trump is reportedly looking to freeze these funds. He is also preparing executive orders to halt US funding to the UN and other bodies that grant full membership to the Palestinian Authority and the PLO.
This article in Arutz Sheva provides details on the criteria President Trump will be using when deciding whether to halt funding for UN bodies and other institutions:
Those criteria include organizations that give full membership to the Palestinian Authority or Palestine Liberation Organization, or support any activity that circumvents sanctions against Iran or North Korea.
The draft order also calls for terminating funding for any organization that “is controlled or substantially influenced by any state that sponsors terrorism” or is blamed for the persecution of marginalized groups or any other systematic violation of human rights.
At the end of week one of Donald Trump’s presidency, we can say, so far, so good. His decisions highlighted above, plus his plan for border control and his actions to stem the immigration into the US of “refugees” from volatile Muslim countries, are encouraging signs.

When Will They Ever Learn?
The democratically elected U.S. President is Donald Trump
1. Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright claimed Wednesday she would register herself a Muslim as an act of defiance against President Donald Trump’s immigration plans.”I was raised Catholic, became Episcopalian & found out later my family was Jewish. I stand ready to register as Muslim in #solidarity,” Albright tweeted.

3. Remember the kid who started a fire to protest President Trump’s inauguration? It was entertainer Drew Carey’s son.
