That’s the quote from an angry parent whose child attends The Beacon School.
AFSI stands with and supports The National Council of Young Israel (NCYI) who sent a letter to NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio and Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza urging them to take action after The Beacon School recently held a moment of silence for “Palestinian victims” associated with the recent protests in Israel.
In addition to parental outrage, The Beacon School’s action made Jewish students feel very uncomfortable. It was learned that the head of Jewish Voice for Peace has a daughter in the school. Coincidence?
At 7 am Tuesday morning, 3 rounds of 28 mortar shells each were fired at southern Israel with at least 2 exploding inside communities in the Eshkol region, including one that struck the yard of a kindergarten shortly before children were due to arrive.
The Israel Defense Forces, always well prepared to protect and defend the state, issued a statement on May 29. Read HERE
More than 1,200 youth from around the country attended — idealistic, full of energy and love of the land, eager to enlist for the people and the land. They were given the tools to explain what they stand for – not just what they stand against.

This Year’s Sovereignty Conference for Youth Was……
Today’s AFSI must read is by Nadia Matar and Yehudit Katsover. They have an excellent OpEd piece in Arutz Sheva on Israeli pioneer, politician, activist, founder of the Tehiya party, and all around Israeli legend, Geula Cohen.
There is no one better to quote than Cohen on the subject of sovereignty: “We are proposing the application of Israeli law and jurisdiction in Judea and Samaria not only because it is the most just and ethical thing to do, but because it is also the most realistic.”
A few short weeks ago, the AFSI group joined leaders of the Havat Gilad community todedicate a camera security system which Marc Provisor, Security Director of the One Israel Fund, had researched and installed. Havat Gilad is a small community in Samaria that holds a special place in the hearts of many of our members. AFSI has visited there often and was especially alerted to the need for security by the murder by Arab terrorists of Rabbi Raziel Shevach, a beloved member of the community.
This past Tuesday morning, May 15, 2018, there was an attempted terror attack at Havat Gilad. The intended victim was able to save himself, and shortly following the attempt the terrorist was apprehended using the information recorded by the new camera system.
AFSI is grateful to our members who help us fund projects like this. It is our Chizuk missions, which take us throughout Israel, into the disputed areas, which enable us to learn about the important needs of the communities.
We are involved in other projects to help communities we love get the help they need to continue to survive and thrive. We are extremely appreciative of the work of Marc and the One Israel Fund, who are at work day and night to “keep our people safe” in projects all over the country. Without a security expert like Marc we would never be able to carry out these types of projects.
Sincere Thanks to President Donald J. Trump for Making the U.S. Congress’ Jerusalem Embassy Relocation Act of 1995 – a Reality!!
