In a historic and major military operation, Israel last Friday, June 13 launched a surprise attack on Iran, bombing all nuclear sites.
At 3:00am in Israel, the whole nation was woken by an air raid siren and alert on their phones from the Home Office command, declaring a country-wide emergency situation. Israelis were further instructed to stay close to their safe-rooms and that all schools and businesses are to be closed until further notice. Warplanes could be heard flying throughout the country.
Shortly afterwards, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released an address via YouTube, explaining that Israel has attacked Iran due to its growth of nuclear weapons, and acquiring enough uranium to make nine nuclear bombs within a few months. Naming the move as ‘Operation Rising Lion’, he stated: “This operation will continue for as many days as it takes to remove this threat. For decades, the tyrants of Tehran have brazenly, openly called for Israel’s destruction…This is a clear and present danger to Israel’s very survival…I’ve made it clear time and time again, Israel will never allow those who call for our annihilation to develop the means to achieve that goal.”

As Israel continues to pound Iran the latest reports today state that Tehran is reportedly expressing an urgent willingness to resume negotiations over its nuclear program, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal.
If Iran is allowed to come back to the negotiating table, this seems it would amount to going around in circles. On the other hand, could Israel’s so far successful military operation have changed Iran’s mind and get them to stop its never-ending goal of wiping Israel off the map and stop uranium enrichment? We doubt that Iran would turn around and all of a sudden become the diplomatic and peaceful nation partner in the region – and the world – that it should be.
