Deadly Attack on Israel’s North: Is War Imminent?

The IDF announced late Wednesday afternoon that it completed an “extensive wave” of airstrikes in Lebanese territory following a barrage of precision-guided missiles fired at northern Israeli military bases and the cities of Tzfat and Kiryat Shmona.

A female IDF soldier was killed in the terrorist attack and eight others were wounded. An IDF military base in Tzfat sustained a direct hit in the attack.

IDF Chief of Staff LTC Herzi Halevi said, “We are intensifying the strikes all the time, and Hezbollah are paying an increasingly heavy price. The next campaign will have a very strong offensive, and we will use all our tools and capabilities. There is still a long way to go, and we will do it together.”

Today, Halevi told reserve commanders on Israel’s northern border with Lebanon to prepare for war with Hezbollah, vowing not to return the residents of northern Israeli communities unless they can assure a “very high” level of security.

The only way to secure a safe Israel is for the IDF to fully eliminate the terrorist scourge that has targeted and demonized the Jewish Nation State. October 7 was the straw that broke the camel’s back. We continue to pray for the protection and success of the IDF as its dangerous missions press on.
