Israeli fighter pilots have destroyed a secret Iranian nuclear site on the outskirts of northeastern Tehran, IDF Chief Spokesperson Brig.-Gen. Effie Defrin revealed Tuesday.
The compound was intended to enable the knowledge necessary to advance Iran’s nuclear program.
The covert ‘Minzadehei’ compound was secretly operated by the Iranian mullah regime to develop nuclear weapons, Defrin said.
“IDF intelligence continued to follow the scientists’ activities and tracked their new location, enabling a precise strike on the covert underground compound,” he told reporters.
The strike removes a key component in the Iranian regime’s capability to develop nuclear weapons, Defrin added.
Further elements of Iran’s nuclear framework require removal. Subsequently, there must be a guarantee that no nuclear program will ever be permitted to be reestablished.
