Yasser Murtaja, the Palestinian journalist who was killed by Israeli soldiers during protests along the Gaza border on Friday, was actually a Hamas activist, security officials told Israeli news site Walla!.
According the the report published Tuesday morning, Murtaja had been a senior officer in the Hamas security apparatus in Gaza for years.
