Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the formation of a parliamentary commission of inquiry against the New Israel Fund (NIF) Tuesday evening in light of the organization’s exertion of pressure on the governments of Rwanda and Uganda not to abide by agreements with Israel to take in illegal infiltrators.

Im Tirtzu is an organization led by Doug Altabef and Matan Peleg and supported by Aharon Pulver and the Israel Independence Fund. Im Tirtzu has been particularly effective in unmasking and exposing various threats to Zionism and Israel by thoroughly researching the extensive funding of anti-Israeli NGOs by European governments and the New Israel Fund.

With Friday only a day away, the IDF is preparing for more tension along the security fence. Gazans have amassed nearly 10,000 tires with the intention of burning them during a second mass protest along the Gaza security fence. Women and children were instructed to carry mirrors and lasers to distract IDF snipers at the fence. Their goal is to create a “wall of smoke” along the border ultimately obscuring vision of Israeli soldiers.

Both Israel and Palestinian groups have warned against the move, which could see both sides suffering an ecological disaster.

Shabak (Israel Security Agency) and the IDF on Wednesday cleared for publication that 10 Gazan Arabs were arrested March 12 for planning a terror attack on an IDF ship.

All of those arrested by Shabak and the Israeli Navy were suspected of gathering intelligence and planning a terror attack. One of those arrested, Amin Saadi Mohammed Jamaah, 24, is a fisherman and resident of Rafah, active in the Islamic Jihad terror group. Islamic Jihad leaders took part in planning the attack, using several boats.

Andrew Pessin, the once popular Connecticut College philosophy professor, was subjected to an academic smear campaign for his August 11, 2014 Facebook post in defense of Israel during Operation Protective Edge against Hamas.

Pessin resumed teaching last fall after an extended paid sabbatical and together with a colleague convinced the school to establish a Jewish Studies program. Recently, Pessin edited a new book with Fordham University’s Doron Ben-Atar on the general campus trend “Anti-Zionism on Campus: The University, Free Speech, and BDS.”

England’s Momentum organization has warned its supporters that accusations of antisemitism in Labour are not rightwing smears or conspiracy, saying unconscious anti-Jewish bias is “more widespread in the Labour party than many of us had understood even a few months ago”.

The police registered 1,453 anti-Semitic incidents in Germany last year, more than in five of the previous seven years, and organizations including the American Jewish Congress say fewer than a third of such incidents get reported. Their stubborn persistence in the country where the Holocaust was plotted and executed is raising concern that decades of work to eradicate anti-Semitism are slowly being undone as prejudice against Jews spreads beyond its traditional home in the far right.

A Palestinian Arab attempted to stab a security guard at the Te’enim crossing near the Jewish community of Avnei Hefetz in Samaria Monday afternoon but was shot and neutralized.

The Israeli military on Saturday night identified 10 of the 15 people reported killed during violent protests, dubbed the “March of the Return”, along the Gaza security fence asmembers of Palestinian terrorist groups, and published a list of their names and positions in the organizations (photo and names further below).

Many on the left are incorrectly placing blame on Israel for being too “harsh” on the Gazans. Once again we must remind them of the facts: the PA does not wisely invest the money it’s given into developing infrastructure, building hospitals and schools, upgrading sanitary conditions and education for its own people. Instead, they continue to wage terror on Israel with the goal of destroying it.

We suggest those placing blame on Israel stand at the border in place of an IDF soldier and experience first hand why the IDF defends the country in the manner it deems in Israel’s best interest. It’s long overdue for the left to stop blaming Israel – a free and sovereign nation that has a right to defend itself against harm.
