Israel is moving to strip Dutch diplomats serving in Ramallah of their Israeli-granted privileges and immunities, as the Netherlands’ boycott of products from Jewish communities reaches passengers arriving at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport.
Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar informed the Dutch Embassy that the diplomats must return their Israeli-issued diplomatic documents within seven days. Their associated privileges and immunities will expire when that deadline passes. The decision follows the implementation of Dutch restrictions on goods from Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria, eastern Jerusalem, including the Old City of Jerusalem, and the Golan Heights.
