In response to the recognition of a Palestinian state by Britain, Australia, Canada, and other nations, Yonatan Kuznitz, head of the Karnei Shomron Council, has taken decisive action: the council has declared the establishment of a new Jewish community north of Highway 55, further expanding the boundaries of Karnei Shomron.

“This decision sends a clear and unequivocal message: the future of Jewish settlement is determined on the ground by the State of Israel, not in the diplomatic corridors of foreign governments,” stated the council.

The saying, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade,” is a proverbial expression that promotes optimism and a proactive attitude when confronted with challenges or misfortunes. This phrase also embodies the resilient spirit of Zionism. It effectively reflects that ethos: when faced with lemons, such as the delusional support for a two-state solution, one should improvise, innovate, and extract something valuable. Consider the early Zionists who transformed swamps in the Galilee or the kibbutzniks who turned a desert into a thriving agritech hub. This approach is not merely about blind positivity; it represents a form of defiant alchemy.

Israel confirmed launching its long-anticipated ground offensive in Gaza City, Hamas’ last stronghold, on Tuesday.

Said Defense Minister Israel Katz, “Gaza is burning. The [Israel military] is striking with an iron fist at the terrorist infrastructure, and soldiers are fighting heroically to create the conditions for the release of the hostages and the defeat of Hamas,” he said. “We will not relent and we will not go back — until the completion of the mission.”

Following his recent visit to Israel, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio conveyed to reporters that a negotiated settlement remains the favored approach for the United States. While AFSi shares this preference as well, it needs to be clear that negotiations with terrorists are futile, especially when their ultimate goal is the annihilation of Israel.

The IDF holds a firm belief that the ground offensive will weaken Hamas’s capabilities, thus fostering conditions that are favorable for the release of the hostages. Despite the increasing civilian displacement and global scrutiny, Israel must persevere through what we hope will be the concluding phase of this operation.

New information about the missile launch in the Binyamin Region shows that it was a homemade Qassam missile with a small warhead. Security officials estimate that the rocket, which was launched from the village of Ni’ma, had a range of approximately 10 kilometers.

i24NEWS reported that this is the first occurrence where a rocket in Judea and Samaria has reached such a level of operational development, raising concerns of an escalation in the use of weaponry by hostile elements in the area.

The launch failed, and the Palestinian Authority security forces managed to apprehend the terrorists who attempted to launch the missile. Security sources note that this is a precedent-setting incident and emphasize its seriousness.

Without question, this situation raises considerable concern. As Israel remains engaged in warfare on various fronts, the IDF is now tasked with further demands on its already overworked soldiers to develop new strategies to eradicate terrorism.

The chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Subcommittee for Judea and Samaria Affairs, MK Tzvi Succot, submitted a new bill on Sunday that seeks to bring about the cancellation of the Oslo Accords and to regulate the State of Israel’s status in the face of diplomatic agreements that have been violated.

The bill states that the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee would be authorized to determine if a side to a diplomatic agreement violated its obligations or publicly declared that it is not bound by it.

MK Succot said: “The Oslo Accords were a resounding failure and a serious security fiasco that was imposed on the people of Israel and brought waves of terror whose effects we are forced to deal with to this very day. The time for correction has come. It is time for the Knesset to take responsibility and legislate a law that will cancel these reckless agreements that endanger the State of Israel and give free gifts to the enemy.”

The Oslo Accords are regarded by numerous idealists as a notable historical milestone; however, in reality, they signify a deeply flawed attempt. The two-state solution proposed by Oslo was always an unrealistic aspiration, and it is now clear that terrorism has not abated while Israel confronts its most critical struggle to date. The harm caused by the Oslo Accords since their inception in 1993 is considerable, and Israel cannot revert to rectify it. Nonetheless, looking ahead, Israel has the chance to forge a future that guarantees the security and safety it needs, unencumbered by the constraints of an agreement that failed to deliver both security and lasting peace. It is time to revoke the Oslo Accords!

Pressure is increasing for sovereignty in the Samaria region: Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, opened today’s Samaria & Arutz Sheva Sovereignty Conference.

Dagan delivered sharp criticism of the government and called for immediate action: “The fact that the full-rights right-wing government has still not applied full sovereignty in Judea and Samaria is a disgrace. It’s time for deeds.

Later in his speech he boasted about investments being made in the region and projects to change perceptions and realities on the ground: “Just yesterday we inaugurated the first screening center in Judea and Samaria in Shavei Shomron. The goal of ‘A Million on the Map’ project is to bring a million visitors here. Strengthening civilian presence, tourism and archaeological excavations are central means of bolstering the historical and legal argument for sovereignty.”

Sufficient discussion and justification regarding the necessity of applying sovereignty across Judea and Samaria has been presented. The moment for action is here now. It is imperative to declare sovereignty immediately. The security of Israel’s future is contingent upon this decision.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attended last Thursday, the signing ceremony for the roof agreement in Maaleh Adumim. This includes the construction of more than 7,600 new housing units and an investment of NIS 3 billion, which is expected to double the city’s population within five years.

Netanyahu spoke at the signing ceremony: “What we are doing here is, in effect, realizing a dream. Within five years, there will be 70,000 people here. This will be a major change,”

He added: “We know that there is another change here, or to be more precise, another implementation of a promise, not from the Bible, but a current one. We said that there will not be a Palestinian state – and indeed there will be no Palestinian state! This place is ours. We will see to our heritage, our land and our security.”

In his first comments on the airstrikes in Qatar, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel was fully responsible. “Today’s action against the top terrorist chieftains of Hamas was a wholly independent Israeli operation,” Netanyahu said in a statement. “Israel initiated it, Israel conducted it, and Israel takes full responsibility.”

The latest reports indicate that Israel’s unprecedented airstrike on a gathering of senior Hamas officials in Doha, Qatar on Tuesday may have failed to eliminate any of the terror group’s top leaders, according to multiple reports in the Hebrew media. The fate of these terrorists is unclear.

Israel’s public broadcaster, Kan, reported that the country’s security establishment is increasingly pessimistic regarding the impact of Tuesday’s attack, dubbed Operation Summit of Fire.

Time and again Israel accepts proposed ceasefires and deal, and Hamas repeatedly rejects them. Even if it is realized that the top Hamas leaders were not eliminated in the strike in Doha, Qatar it should be a clear message that the Israel will not miss an opportunity to hunt down terrorists responsible for October 7 until it finishes the job. Alternately, if the leaders were eliminated, the hostages still remain captive and an end to the war is not yet guaranteed.

Let’s remember Golda Meir’s 1969 remark: “We have always said that in our war with the Arabs, we had a secret weapon. No alternative.”

Members of Kibbutz Magen’s civilian security team prevented a massacre during Hamas’ October 7 attack while the Israel Defense Forces failed in its mission to protect the community, according to an army inquiry released on Thursday.

The probe, led by Colonel Ziv Beit Or, found that the kibbutz’s 26-member standby squad and volunteer residents successfully repelled waves of Hamas terrorists, forcing their retreat and preventing kidnappings that could have resulted in far greater casualties.

The report is the latest in a series of detailed army probes into how some 5,000 terrorists from Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad managed to attack numerous Israeli communities and overrun army positions. The IDF probes only address issues of operations, intelligence, and command, not decisions made by the political echelon.

Against the backdrop of recent statements by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and members of his government regarding Israel, the UK’s expected decision to recognize a Palestinian state, and the wave of anti-Semitism across Britain, President Isaac Herzog arrived Wednesday, at 10 Downing Street to voice firm opposition to the British Government’s recent stance on Israel.

We have little faith this meeting will see a productive outcome and change Prime Minister Starmer’s stance on the delusional two-state solution. Starmer needs to be forced to sit down and watch the graphic documentation of the horrific and barbaric acts of inhumanity committed against Israelis on October 7. With his own country on fire every day you would think he’d wake up.
