IDF Gets to the Heart of Hamas

The IDF entered a specific area of Shifa Hospital early Wednesday morning while seeking to keep its exact goals, timing, and mission classified as the operation is still ongoing, as leaking certain details could endanger IDF forces.

Underneath Shifa Hospital was discovered, as expected, military headquarters for Hamas. This is a very significant development in enabling the IDF to eradicate the terrorist entity. A military source says that concrete evidence has been found of the use of Shifa Hospital as a Hamas headquarters, and in due time much of it will be visible to the public.

The military, always mindful of the safety of innocents, also announced that they successfully delivered crucial medical equipment and supplies, such as incubators for babies and baby food.

On Tuesday the IDF announced that it had captured a number of Hamas governmental sites in the heart of Gaza City as its troops engaged in fierce battles with Hamas gunmen in the city, while continuing to enable humanitarian corridors to allow for civilians to evacuate to the southern part of the Strip.

DC Rally: What Will Your Excuse Be?

Three hundred Thousand people on the national mall gave a strong message to the US government showing a unified front of many streams of Judaism and other religions.

It also gave a morale boost to the people of Israel.

While it was generally an upbeat event, three relatives of Jewish and Israeli people who were kidnapped by Hamas and held as hostages in Gaza spoke at the March for Israel rally at the National Mall in Washington DC on Tuesday.

Rachel Goldberg, the mother of Hersh Goldberg-Polin, a civilian American citizen who was kidnapped from the music rave for peace on October 7, demanded to know why so much of the world is ignoring the plight of the hostages.

“We hostage families have lived the last 39 days in slow-motion torment,” she said. “But the real souls suffering are those of the hostages. And they want to ask everyone in the world, all the screamers, the indifferent, the experts, the academics, the knowledgeable, the passives, the perfectly outraged, the righteous, the indignant, the haters, the leaders, the lovers. the every single one of us: Why is the world accepting that 240 human beings from almost 30 countries have been stolen and buried alive?”

Will Sovereignty be Next?

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Friday that the IDF will control the Gaza Strip after the end of the war against Hamas.

Meeting with mayors of Gaza border communities in the IDF headquarters in Tel Aviv, Netanyahu said “IDF forces will maintain control in the Strip; we will not hand it over to external forces.”

According to a statement from Netanyahu’s office, he told the mayors that “There is a very strong determination from both you and the government to restore more than what was before. First and foremost, to bring back security, but also to ensure a stronger life thereafter.”

“There will be Israeli security control over the Gaza Strip, including complete disarmament, to ensure that there is no longer a threat from Gaza to the citizens of Israel,” the statement added.

While this sounds promising, we await the actual implementation of Netanyahu’s plan. The residents of the border communities have been suffering long enough. The next stop on this train needs to be the long-awaited and badly needed full application of Sovereignty.

Spotlight on Daniella Weiss

For decades, Daniella Weiss has been one of the leaders of Israel’s “settlement” movement. Weiss became involved in related politics in the wake of the 1967 war. In the early seventies, her family moved to communities in Judea and Samaria, and she later served for a decade as mayor of Kedumim, a community in the north. More recently, she has been affiliated with the Nachala organization, which helps the younger generation establish communities in that area.

AFSI is proud to be associated with Daniella and the Nachala movement. Her interview with The New Yorker, a left-leaning source, puts the truth about Israel in the forefront and sets the record straight.

Action Taken on College Campus but Too Little Too Late

Columbia University is suspending the far-left groups Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) as official student groups through the end of the fall term, it announced on Friday, saying they had violated university policies.

The university said it made the decision after the groups “repeatedly violated University policies related to holding campus events, culminating in an unauthorized event Thursday afternoon that proceeded despite warnings and included threatening rhetoric and intimidation.” It marks the second university to take action against SJP in recent days, with Brandeis University banning the group this week for its statements supporting Hamas.

The Fox News article notes that these hate groups were suspended because they did not apply for event permits 10 days in advance. They should have been kicked off campus years ago for the violent hatred and goal of wiping Jews off the map in the first place. If the leadership of Columbia University cannot distinguish between pure evil, hate and death as a goal versus free speech, then it’s time to remove them from their cushy positions. Shame on all of them.

Who Knew What and When? Netanyahu Demands Answers

The media watchdog Honest Reporting published an investigative report late on Wednesday showing that journalists from leading news outlets, including The New York Times, AP, Reuters, and CNN, joined Hamas terrorist from the Gaza Strip on October 7 to document the horrific events with their cameras.

Their report raised weighty ethical questions in the investigation regarding the presence of those photographers alongside Hamas terrorists.

Among other things, it begs the question of whether the photographers were aware in advance of the intent to carry out the massacre and how they arrived on the scene so quickly. Did Hamas allow them to be there? Did these news reporters have approval to enter Israel alongside the terrorists? Did the photographers inform their editors that they were accompanying the terrorists as they carried out the attacks against the Israelis?

While the Associated Press and Reuters have denied any advance knowledge of what was to become the worst terrorist attack in Israel’s history, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s administration is demanding answers from these prominent news agencies. Just look at the photo that accompanies this article. A great photo op for the journalists, right? This photo and the brutally revealing information from Honest Reporting leaves us highly suspicious and not in full agreement with the current train of thought on what caused the October 7 massacre that “just like 1973, Israel missed this one.”

“I Can Go with Any Ambulance”

The IDF and the Israel Security Agency have released evidence that shows how the Hamas terrorist organization exploits ambulances, hospitals, clinics, mosques, and schools for terrorist purposes.

The evidence also shows how Hamas uses ambulances to transfer weapons and terrorist operatives in the Gaza Strip.

In a recorded phone conversation revealed by the Military Intelligence Directorate, a Hamas terrorist operative can be heard telling a Gazan resident: “I can leave with any ambulance I want.”

“This is another example of how the Hamas terrorist organization exploits civilian infrastructure and uses civilians as human shields,” the IDF stated.

As Israel exposes more truth to combat the propaganda Hamas disseminates, it’s up to Israel now to learn how to win the information war. This is one war Israel has yet to win. Exposés like this recording that get reported on in major media sources is simply not enough to mass communicate the truth about Israel to the world. Yes, Israel is fighting a war on the ground right now but it must take action and form a new division to fight back against Arab propaganda.

Israel Gantz Issues Warning as Tensions Erupt

A masked individual armed with a knife attempted to enter the town of Ofra in northern Samaria on Tuesday. The suspect fled after being fired on by Israeli security forces.

Tensions in Judea and Samaria are extremely high since the Oct. 7 massacre. Binyamin Regional Council head Israel Gantz issued a stark warning: ‘No one dares to approach our settlements. Whoever does this will be shot with the aim of killing.’

Though Israel is fighting a major war right now, there is still an ongoing war being fought for the daily safety and security of the residents in Judea and Samaria.

Will the Knesset Protect the PA From Collapsing?

The political and security cabinet on Thursday night announced it will deduct from the taxes and customs that Israel collects on behalf of the Palestinian Authority all the funds that would have been transferred from Ramallah to Gaza – in addition to deducting the funds the PA is paying as monthly salaries to terrorists behind bars and their families.

On Tuesday, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich sent a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stating that since the PA had violated the 1994 Oslo Accords in every conceivable way, he intends to cut off the entire amount that Israel collects on its behalf.

Both Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and DM Yoav Gallant worked hard to push and cajole the ministers into supporting the continued funding for Ramallah, albeit somewhat curtailed. Both argued that the PA must be protected from collapsing.

Smotrich, as Finance Minister, intends to call for the establishment of security zones to protect Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria from the threat of Palestinian terrorism.

In a letter sent to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on Sunday, the head of the Religious Zionism Party, who is also a minister in the Defense Ministry, demanded that they convene an urgent session of the Political-Security Cabinet to discuss the “continuing insecurity” of the residents of Judea and Samaria.

Despite the October 7 massacre and the war in progress, the issues of security and sovereignty, as we’ve been reporting on regularly, must not be overlooked or put on the back burner until the war is over, With the plethora of terrorist attacks there, the Knesset will still pay the PA. This perpetuates the perfect storm for terrorist attacks carried out by the PA against Israel to continue. What are we missing here?

It’s Time to Listen to Jabotinsky and Build the Iron Wall

Exactly 100 years ago, in his seminal essay, “The Iron Wall,” revisionist leader Ze’ev Jabotinsky wrote these words: “As long as the Arabs feel that there is the least hope of getting rid of us, they will refuse to give up this hope in return for either kind words or for bread and butter.”

Sadly, Israelis witnessed this on many occasions over the last century and in ferocious and bestial form on October 7.

What Israelis have to understand is that the key to this conflict is hope. For too long, Israelis have scoffed at the incitement emanating from Hamas and Fatah, which not only call for the elimination of the Jewish state, but constantly drum into their followers that it is possible and will happen soon.

As Jabotinsky ended the “Iron Wall” essay, “the only way to reach an agreement in the future is to abandon all idea of seeking an agreement at present.”

Israel must send a message that it is here to stay, period.
