On Sunday, as an expression of Israel’s deep gratitude to President Donald J. Trump, the Israeli cabinet began the process of moving toward establishing a new community on the Golan Heights called Ramat Trump (Trump Heights).

This action comes only three months after President Trump recognized Israel’s Sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

“We are proud to have the opportunity to establish a new community, and also to honor a big friend,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at the opening of the special cabinet meeting held on the Golan Heights.

Council leaders in Judea and Samaria will begin campaigning against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s policies in the area. Under the slogan, “Stop talking right and doing left,” they will demand the government commit itself to Sovereignty in Judea and Samaria and to ending the illegal Arab construction in Area C.

In retaliation for a rocket launch towards Israel, the IDF attacked a Hamas tunnel in the Gaza Strip overnight Wednesday. The Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted the rocket and no injuries or damage were reported.

No calls for both sides to hold to the recent ceasefire agreement is possible when the other side continues its attacks against Israel.

The Jerusalem District Court on Monday ruled that the Ateret Cohanim association has legal rights over three large areas in strategic locations in the Old City of Jerusalem, currently populated by Arab residents

Ateret Cohanim, which deals with the redemption of land in Jerusalem, is credited with locating the assets and negotiating for their purchase.

“Under certain circumstances, I think Israel has the right to retain some, but unlikely all, of the West Bank,” US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman said in a wide-ranging interview over the weekend.

If Israel made such a move he did not reveal what the US government’s position would be. Friedman did state that some degree of retention of Judea and Samaria would be legitimate.

This marks the first time in history that a US administration has come out in support of Israel retaining parts of its ancestral homeland in Judea and Samaria.

The Israel Air Force struck several Syrian military positions in southwestern Damascus and Quneitra in retaliation for rockets fired into northern Israel yesterday.

“Last night, two rockets were launched from Syria to Israel, one landing within Israeli territory,” the IDF said. “In response, we struck a number of Syrian Armed Forces military targets. We hold the Syrian regime accountable and will firmly operate against any attempt to harm Israeli civilians.”

One month after Moshe Herzlich paid the tax bill on his new home in the Tapuah West outpost, security forces arrived at his door and demolished his pink stucco one-story structure, nestled on a Samaria hilltop.
